This teacup is decorated with the antique Meakin china pattern "Newark". The smooth gold trimmed edge encloses a blue wave patterned background. Laying atop the background are baskets of purple and magenta flowers that are surrounded by scroll work. The underside of the teacup is stamped in blue "Newark J. & G. Meakin Hanley England".
