This teacup and saucer set is a lovely example of the fine craftsmanship of Carl Schumann, with the 'Dresdner Art' pattern. The set is decorated in the Dresden style with colorful rococo flower prints. The rim is smooth and flowing with gold gilding, which makes a striking contrast to the bright rainbow of the delicate flora. The undersides of the set are stamped in green with the Schumann crest above which is written: "Bavaria" and below, "Schumann, Dresdner Art". It is then stamped again in dark blue with a crown above which is written: "Royal Dredner Art" and below "Carl Schumann, Bavaria".
