This oval vegetable bowl is decorated with the Haviland & Co. antique china pattren Schleiger 513. The smooth edge is trimmed in gold, and along that edge it is encircled with an exquisite band of contrasting yellow and tawny brown, this band is intermingled with small yellow flowers and paired totems. The porcelain dish is further adorned by the tawny coloured foliage that bends into elegant arches above the paired totems, and is dispersed at intervals along the inner ring; with all of this outlined in black. The underside of the bowl is stamped in green: "Haviland France" and in red: "Decorated By Haviland & Co Limoges"
