This bread and butter plate is a product of the Hutschenreuther porcelain manufacturer. This smooth edged piece manages to be both bold and delicate at the same time. A gold band encircles the edge of the plate and in one area rises into a dramatic wavelike structure upon which black accenting has been carefully applied. At the crest of this golden wave, a cluster of pale blue flowers is daintily sitting. Connected by thin branches and whimsy teal foliage, a semicircle of these lovely clusters dance across the rim of the plate. The underside of the dish is stamped in green: within a circle "LHR", "Hutschenreuther" "Bavaria".
