This beautiful sugar bowl with lid, is a lovely example of the workmanship of the famous porcelain manufacturer, Erdmann Schlegelmilch, RS Prussia. It's scalloped edges, and dramatic handles are further embellished by gold flourishes, simple reticulation, and embossment which is in some places colored a beautiful sky blue. Below this exquisite lid and rim, lies a breathtaking bouquet of roses rendered with colors that range from bright pink to palest yellow and white nestled amongst vibrant foliage. Adding to the great amount of detail lavished upon the dish are the pale blue blossoms that seem to burst into existence upon the white field of our porcelain sugar bowl. The underside of the bowl is stamped with green laurels, and in red writing:" RS Prussia" and again in red: "Handpainted".
