This is a beautiful figural piece produced by the renowned Thuringian porcelain factory of Volkstedt. These balerinas' dresses seem to flow like real lace around their graceful, timeless pose. Small delicate, hand-sculpted porcelain flowers adorn the folds of their dresses. Their shoes, corset, hair and detailed facial features are all hand painted. The piece is in very good condition. There is some wear on the base, as well as a nearly imperceptible degree of damage at the bottom trim of the pink lace. This is a truly stunning piece and a fine example of the exquisite detail attained by Dresden-style porcelain factories in Germany.
