This is a beautiful figural piece produced by the renowned Thuringian porcelain factory of Volkstedt. Pink porcelain lace adorns the sleeves and collars of each figure, as well as the hem of her dress. Small delicate, hand-sculpted porcelain flowers and ribbons adorn the folds of her dress as well as his coat and the base. Her shoes, corset, hair and detailed facial features are all hand painted. The figures are frozen in time, set upon a gold-gilt rococo base. This is a truly stunning piece and a fine example of the exquisite detail attained by Dresden-style porcelain factories in Germany.
