This is an adorable little piece produced by the Thurigian German factory of Volkstedt. This cardinal sits upon a white porcelain base, with the outlines of his wings, crown, and tailfeathers clearly delineated. The color of the glaze has faded with age, but otherwise the piece is in perfect condition.
