This is a lovely figurine featuring a ballerina stooped upon a rococo-style gold pedastal. She holds hand-sculpted hard paste porcelain flower in one hand, a fan in the other. Luxurious folds of delicate Dresden lace flow around her, inset with more hand-sculpted flowers. The exquisite features of this piece, including her facial expression, the colorations of her skin, and the prints upon the fan, are all handpainted. This is a lovely example of the famous Dresden style of Germany.
Note: there is some damage to the lace of her dress, directly above the rose in the bodice of her dress, and directly over her left knee in the bottom lace ruffle. There is also a tiny bit of lace at the fringes of the bottom ruffle where the lace is missing along the hem line on the back of the dress. Priced as is!
