This artfully crafted base to the butter dish is decorated with the antique Charles Field Haviland china pattern 'Schleiger 1328 - variation'. Delicate garlands of dusty pink roses with green leaves and stems embellish the smooth rim of the piece. The underside of the dish is stamped in green: "GDA France" and in red: "Ch. Field Haviland Limoges".
