This is a pair of Von Schierholz Cherubic Compote Urns from the von Schierholz Porcelain Factory, Plaue, Thuringia Germany. These urns are hand painted and hand decorated, including encrusted roses and other florals, surrounded by Rococo style scrolls and swirls which ornate the urns and bring them to life. The urns are overall in very good condition with minor damage to one urn, having 2 chipped petals on one pink rose. These urns measure 13” H (Base to Top) by 9” W (outside measurement of figurines from left to right). Ownership history places these urns as purchased during the liberation of Germany post WWII while Eisenhower was in Germany during its liberation. Consigned K. Neill.
