This round covered butter dish is decorated with the Haviland & Co. china numbered Schleiger 70a. It comes in three pieces: a base, a round pierced oil strainer that fits into the base, and a handled dome that sits on the base. This pattern consists of blue and pink flowers and buds with green foliage sprayed across the piece. The pieces with this pattern are scalloped and ridged at the edges. The back is stamped twice: in green: "H&Co. L France" above a second, in red: "Haviland & Co. Limoges."
