This is an excellent example of the fine antique china figural groupings produced by the renowned Thuringian factory of Volkstedt. This piece features four figures, three women and one man, placed upon a gold-gilt rococo base adorned with delicate, sculpted flowers. The three women are seated on a loveseat and chair around a little round table, apparently having tea. The man seems to be interested in one in particular! The sleeves and collars of these figures are adorned with flowing Dresden lace that is incredibly delicate. The elaborate colors on this scene bring the figures to life! This piece would make an excellent addition to any collection. There is a tiny bit of damaged lace to both sleeves on the gentleman.
