This is an adorable piece of two lovers engaged in a battle of the wits. Although not over yet, it appears the lady in pink is winning! Beautiful pink porcelain "Dresden lace" adorns these figures, set upon a gold-gilded, rococo base. This piece is produced by the Volkstedt porcelain manufactury. This figurine has 2 small areas of damaged lace on the back of the lady's dress. The damaged lace is along the bottom ruffle in 2 locations, with each site missing approx 3/8"; however, due to the location and the positioning of the rest of the ruffle, it is almost unnoticeable.
