The pitcher arrived this
Afternoon and my wife and I
Were very impressed with the
Packing. I must admit I was
Fearful that the consignment could
Be damaged.
I am taken with the item as
It is a smaller version of a pitcher
I was given by my mother in
1992. She acquired it in Brooklyn
N. Y. In 1947 and called it a
Champagne pitcher. It was
Purchased by her from a German
Woman who received it as a
Wedding present in 1887 and had
It for 60 years, my how time gets
By. I can account for my old pitcher for lets see 119 years
And in the late 1800's many of
These were made. I assume that
What I have purchased from you
Considering the identical cuts and
Workmanship similarities could
Be from the same manufacturer
And time period. It is uncanny to
See them side by side with identical Design in the cutting.
If you should come by any
Similar pieces I would be interested in knowing about it,
I will continue to peruse on line
And look over you're offerings.
You have made me quite happy
